A Legacy of Giving is a non-profit organization that empowers children through youth philanthropy education. In 2011, Texas public schools lost $5.3 billion to massive budget cuts, forcing Title I and other partner schools to halt participation in the Legacy program. Determined to protect the schools’ access to its life-changing services, A Legacy of Giving decided to pursue a radical change in strategy.
PetersGroup volunteered its content management expertise to direct the development of a new, multimedia curriculum. We managed the creation of resource-efficient, interactive videos that integrate current classroom content into the philanthropy lesson program.
Shifting to a multimedia program lowered the cost for schools to offer A Legacy of Giving philanthropy education. 33 schools were restored to the program, and 6,000 more students were engaged in the power of philanthropy.
